George Augustus Sala papers, 1892.

The collection contains a letter from Sala to Cornelius Granerius [R. Corney Grain], 17 Nov. 1892, typescript, asking him if his second copy of the Delmonico cook book by Alessandro Fillippini is Grain's copy; a brief note to W.L. Field, The Printer's Register, 26 May 1892 (with envelope), in third person stating "with Mr. Sala's compliments;" a letter from Mrs. [Bessie] Sala to Mr. Field, 26 May [year unknown], noting Mr. Field's interest in Sala's handwriting and saying she is enclosing a "scrap" of it (fragment that appears to be from a journal dated "1857 turned up 1892") plus an undated manuscript of "Echoes of the week," a column Sala contributed, off and on, to the Illustrated London news, and later to the Sunday times.
